hmm. thinking about how casifer's mocking "cas" in hell's angel was misha improvising. thinking about dean's reaction to this line
and how technically it was a jensen reaction since the line wasn't scripted and yet. and YET. it's not jensen it's dean. they kept it in and so it is dean. and it's SO interesting because this moment is such a microcosm of the overall destiel experience because this was NOT supposed to happen dean was NOT supposed to be confronted with the truth of his feelings for cas and how they affect him and make him act and yet. somehow. here we are. here is lucifer, mocking dean for being in love with cas. here is dean, shocked, completely taken aback. this is not something he talks about, is not something he acknowledges. the narrative does not let him. until it does, until it is forced to, until something outside the confines of the narrative breaks through and says "hey! i see you. i see what this is." and we get a moment of feelings brought to the surface, feelings acknowledged, even if only for a brief second.

I heard an interview, can’t remember the psychologist, but he was explaining this idea and encouraging people to stop and take a deep breath and literally drink in small moments like you’re a dryass plant when something is ever satisfactory, positive, mildly successful, randomly joyful so your brain can code and integrate that experience because our natural lizard brain will quickly tape over it with mostly unnecessary negative survival shit. Sounds dumb and dorky but sometimes I remember this when I’m feeling good about a moment because our cave brains are still catching up with modern life without sabertooths. I like that it’s not just a pollyanna gosh just be more positive thing but more of a legit brain wiring phenomenon can be gradually hacked through small behavioral changes.
Another super important one: Take the time to tell yourself, when something you did or bought or decided works out “That was a good decision and I’m glad I made it! Go me!”
Seriously, it can have a huge impact. suddenly you go from remembering nothing but bad decisions to adding in a series of Excellent Choices You Feel Good About, and it makes things so much better.

Jensen, my darling, the pair of you created a ship from the ground up and to start with it was all just intense eye-contact. When Misha tried to do it with someone else he's all "no you're not doing it like Jensen does it, you have to stare into my soul".

Listen Jensen stares into Misha’s soul because he feels like Misha won’t look at him. Tbh I feel like Misha is more ‘stealing glances’ kind of guy here. And that in itself is very interesting because Misha won’t shy away from much but I feel like the photos/gifs that show him staring at Jensen most adoringly do fall under stolen glances. Almost like when it’s not for just shits and giggles he is not as brave as usual. Interesting indeed.
I like the idea that without the Tardis’s translation field in the parallel universe, Tentoo sometimes reverts back to Gallifreyan when he’s angry or whatnot and this time Rose can actually hear it and is just like... “holy shit am I finally hearing Gallifreyan?!” and to her it sounds really really cool and intellectual and sophisticated but it’s actually just a long string of increasingly-violent swear words
